About Us
The Blue Mountains Women's Health Centre provides a range of high quality health services delivered by experienced and qualified staff. We work within a social view of women's health which acknowledges the physical and emotional aspects of health as well as the broader social and economic factors that impact on women's health and ability to access services. We are 'woman-centred' in our approach and are committed to enhancing a woman's power to decide on her own health needs and to take action about them.
We aim to treat all women who access our services with respect and will treat all personal health information and health records confidentially. You do not need a referral to access our services. Simply ring our reception staff or drop in and make an appointment. Unfortunately most services do have waiting lists, however, we will do our best to fit you in as soon as possible. We can also provide you with referral information to assist you to access alternative services wherever possible.
Due to funding levels most services attract a fee, however, it is our policy to never refuse a woman assistance because she is unable to pay. Appointments are required for most services.
We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm. We are closed for lunch between 12:30pm and 1:30pm. You can find us at 124 Lurline Street, Katoomba or call us on 4782 5133.
